Pima Air & Space Museum Expansion Completed

BFL Construction Company completed the expansion of Hangar One at the Pima Air and Space Museum. The museum is one of the largest air museums in the world.

The new hangar is named Flight Central and is now the home to a number of exciting new exhibits including the Grumman f-14A Tomcat, Bell UH-1C Huey and the McDonnell-Douglas F-4E Phantom II.

The project included construction of a new restaurant called Flight Grill, which features an expo kitchen and floor to ceiling windows. The dining room and patio can accommodate over 175 guests, providing diners a magnificent view of the museum grounds and runway traffic at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

The expansion including removing the walls from the Spirit of Freedom Hangar to create one large display space that encompasses 80,000 square feet with some of the most rare and exciting aircraft on display in the world.
